**King George County Schools Math Pathways Information Page **
KGCS is re-aligning some of the mathematics course options for our elementary and middle school students. - Why change the course options now?
These changes respond to the increased rigor and application required in the 2016 Virginia Standards of Learning for Mathematics. - Will my child be able to take higher level courses throughout his/her high school years?
Yes; as indicated on the Math Pathways chart, all students are able to complete Algebra II and beyond by their senior year. - Will my child be challenged academically?
Yes; all math courses are taught with high expectations and differentiated instruction. **Course Options for Middle School Math **
