Immerse yourself in the playful side of math at the 2017 Math Festival on Saturday, April 22, located at the Washington DC Convention Center. Learn how big math can get, from the power of symmetry in shaping the universe to the outer reaches of black holes-then zero in on your own life, from the mathematics of eyesight to the DNA in your cells! This event is free and open to the public.
The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) has released its 21st annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools. King George County Public Schools is one of 56 school divisions from across the Commonwealth that has programs featured in the directory.

Meet in the Middle will take place Friday, April 7, in the King George High school GYM. Visitors must sign in at the front office with proper identification. The event will run from 10am to noon.
Due to the strong likelihood of thunderstorms for Thursday, April 6, Meet in the Middle has been rescheduled for Friday, April 7. The Torch Run will kick off the event at 10:00 a.m.

Meet in the Middle is a celebration of the abilities of our students on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at King George HS Stadium. (Rain date: April 7) Meet in the Middle (MitM) is an education-based program that promotes acceptance, inclusion and respect between students with and without disabilities. The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run hosted by the King George Sheriff’s Department will kick off the event.
The King George Service Authority is conducting a second test of the water for Sealston Elementary School as required by the Virginia Department of Health. The results of the second test will not be available until mid-afternoon on. Accordingly, Sealston Elementary will be closed . An announcement regarding the school's status for will be made as soon as the water test results are known.
