Learn how big math can get, from the power of symmetry in shaping the universe to the outer reaches of black holes-then zero in on your own life, from the mathematics of eyesight to the DNA in your cells! This event is free and open to the public.

The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) has released its 21st annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools. King George County Public Schools is one of 56 school divisions from across the Commonwealth that has programs featured in the directory. 
The three featured programs from KGCS are:
1) College Boot Camp
2) No Kid Hungry Initiatives
3) Road to School Desegregation Video Partnership

April is the month of the military child, providing an opportunity to recognize and honor the service of Virginia's youngest heroes, over 70,000 military children. Show your support for the annual Purple Up for Military Kids celebration by wearing purple on Friday, April 21st.

Meet in the Middle
Meet in the Middle is a celebration of the abilities of our students on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm  at King George HS Stadium. (Rain date: April 7) Meet in the Middle (MitM) is an education-based program that promotes acceptance, inclusion and respect between students with and without disabilities.  The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run hosted by the King George Sheriff’s Department will kick off the event.

Sealston Elementary Closed 3/29/2017

Sealston Elementary buildingThe King George Service Authority is conducting a second test of the water for Sealston Elementary School as required by the Virginia Department of Health.  The results of the second test will not be available until mid-afternoon on March 29th.  Accordingly, Sealston Elementary will be closed Wednesday March 29th.  An announcement regarding the school's status for Thursday March 30th will be made as soon as the water test results are known.
