The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) was signed into law on December 10, 2015. The new law replaces the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). VDOE is asking parents, educators and other citizens interested in the commonwealth’s public schools to complete a brief online survey on school quality and accountability. Results from the survey will help inform the development of the commonwealth’s plan to implement the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015. The survey will remain active through Wednesday, November 9.
