Vision of King George Elementary It is the desire of King George Elementary School to promote an environment that provides carefully planned experiences that will foster the development of individual competencies that will enable each student to become the best person that he or she is capable of becoming. KGES School Beliefs 1. Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning. 2. It is important to respect each student as an individual; and to promote ideals of self-worth, integrity, citizenship, high academic standards, self-motivation, tolerance towards others, and realistic goal-settings. 3. Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs. 4. All students can learn. 5. A school must have fair and consistent discipline for inappropriate behavior in the learning environment. 6. Students learn best in an emotionally and physically safe and comfortable environment. 7. Students must realize the importance of good attendance, promptness, self-discipline, and responsibility, and their relationship to consistent learning. 8. Teachers, administrators, parent/guardian, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school's mission. 9. Students learn best when provided instruction in an environment with low student/teacher ratios, and is standard classrooms that allow movement into various learning centers. 10.
