Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the King George High School Counseling
Program aligns with the school vision which is: To
provide a quality education, which will empower students
to contribute responsibly to society as honorable,
productive, and self-sufficient individuals.
School counselors, as professional school advocates,
will provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling
program to address the academic, career, and
personal/social needs of all students. The school
counseling program will provide a program of support for
every student and will assist the student in developing
a plan for post-secondary success. Counselors will work
cooperatively with administrators, staff, and family to
ensure a school community that is nurturing, safe, and
focused on both academic and personal achievement for
every student.
