Superintendent’s Message
Welcome to King George County Public Schools!
January 3, 2012
I am honored and privileged to have been given the
opportunity by the King George County School Board to serve as Interim
Superintendent during the time the school board searches for a Superintendent to
replace Dr. Candace Brown. During
this interim period, the focus will be on continuing the progress made and
making adjustments as needed. This
community should feel proud of its accomplishments and the progress that has
been made during Dr. Brown’s tenure in King George County.
With the challenges local school systems face, it is important that citizens of
this great community work together to put “children first.”
It is the job of the school division to make decisions that will give our
children the best opportunity to become innovative, creative and productive
members of the ever-changing global society.
King George County is known as the gateway to the Northern Neck.
As we work together, the gateway to the Northern Neck will become the
opening to the fast-paced, global community in which we live.
During my tenure, the door will always be open to discuss what we
can do to maintain and/or improve the quality of services provided to our
students, our parents, and our community. Together
we can improve “The Bridge to Excellence.”
