Elective Programming
Elective classes begin in middle school and continue through high school, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills. Health and PE, fine arts, performing arts, and world languages are integral components of a well-rounded education, enriching each student’s academic experience and personal growth. Health and Physical Education
Health Education empowers students with the understanding and skills to enhance personal well-being and support the health of their families and communities. Together, these programs lay the foundation for a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Physical Education equips students with the knowledge, skills, and habits needed to lead active, healthy lives. Through engaging activities and fitness experiences, students learn to make responsible choices that promote lifelong wellness.

Family Life Education
The Family Life Education Program is a comprehensive, sequential health curriculum designed to promote total growth—physical, mental, social, and emotional. The program emphasizes universally accepted values, including abstinence in regard to inappropriate behavior, love and caring, honesty, trust, respect for self and others, self-control, and responsibility to self, others, and the community.

Fine Arts
King George County Schools is committed to providing a rich and comprehensive curriculum in the performing and visual arts. Our programs are designed around state and national fine arts standards, offering students opportunities to develop creativity, expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
World Languages
King George County Schools offers students the opportunity to study Spanish or French. Middle school students who successfully complete a world language course earn high school credit, allowing them to continue advancing their language proficiency and cultural understanding throughout their academic journey.
