Virtual Academy

King George County Schools students in grades 6–12 may request virtual learning at no cost through King George County Schools and Virtual Virginia (VVA), a program of the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). Homeschool and private school students who wish to participate in this free virtual learning option through VVA must enroll in King George County Schools.

Virtual Virginia courses are selected based on each student’s academic plan and state graduation requirements, as determined by their school counselor.

Instruction in Virtual Virginia includes both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (independent) learning. Students are required to attend live sessions five times per week for each course, in addition to completing lessons and assignments independently.

Due to limited space, the application window is currently closed for the King George Virtual Academy program.
