AHERA Reporting

In compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), King George County Schools performed inspections our facilities to identify all asbestos containing building materials. The results of the original inspection findings and Asbestos Management Plans are on file with the Operations and Maintenance Department. 

The EPA requires King George County Schools to perform surveillance of the asbestos materials every six months and is continually inspected by work environment every 3 years.
