COVID-19 Resources for Staff and Families

Step 1. Screening

Screen yourself at home before reporting to work.

  • Are you experiencing symptoms of illness?

  • Have you tested positive for COVID-19?

  • Have you been exposed to COVID-19?

This is on the honor system, do not turn in or fill out anything if all answers are "NO".

  • If all answers are "NO", report to work as usual. Nothing more is needed.

Step 2. Reporting

  • If any answer in your self-screening is "YES" (you have symptoms, you have been exposed, you have tested positive), complete the "COVID-19 Reporting Form" to provide information about your failed screening. You must be signed in to your work email to complete this form.

  • Follow the instructions on the form carefully for next steps.

  • If you have symptoms or have tested positive, do not report to work. You will receive further instructions after your Reporting Form is received.

  • If you have been exposed but have no symptoms and have not tested positive, continue reporting to work as usual after completing the Reporting Form.

For the 2022-2023 school year, students with symptoms of illness or who have tested positive for COVID can return to school on Day 6 if symptoms have improved and they have not had a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting for at least 24 hours.

It is important to notify your child's school nurse for all symptoms of illness and positive COVID tests, as there are circumstances that may affect your child's date of return.

Students who have been exposed to COVID may continue reporting to school as long as they are not experiencing any symptoms.
KGCS is not conducting any contact tracing or notifications to families regarding exposure to COVID in the school setting.
