Return to School - Community Questionaire

Dear Families of King George County Schools,

Governor Northam and the Virginia Department of Education, have provided guidance regarding the reopening of schools:  Virginia’s Return to School Plan, “Recover, Redesign, and Restart,” provides for a phased reopening of Virginia schools. Our goal is to maximize in-person learning to the extent allowable and feasible while maintaining a safe environment for your student(s).

The following questionnaire seeks your feedback as KGCS plans for the 2020-2021 school year. Please complete a separate questionnaire for each child in your family.  Your responses may be different to reflect the different needs of your children. The questionnaire will remain open until June 27, 2020 so please do not delay your response. We need you and your input to make the beginning of the school year successful.

A separate questionnaire will be emailed to staff in a few days, so staff members with children should fill out both questionnaires.

Please read the Pandemic EBT FAQ. This may answer the majority of your questions.

The Virginia P-EBT Card will have food assistance benefits on it that can be used for food items anywhere SNAP benefits are accepted.

You did not apply for these benefits, but you have a student or students in your household who are eligible for free/reduced meals at their school. Because they are not in school right now, Virginia can give you these P-EBT food benefits to use.

Participation in the program is voluntary. If you choose not to participate in the program, please dispose of the card by cutting through the magnetic stripe on the card and discarding the card in a secure manner. You will not be able to redeem the food benefits, nor can you transfer the card to someone else.
