 King George County School Board 2019 Priorities 

Governance – To understand and govern the King George County School Division according to applicable Federal and State educational laws and regulations, and local policies. 

Board Communication – To make sure that all members have the same information on issues and discusses the effectiveness of its performance. 

Community Engagement – To create a board culture that fosters deep and meaningful school-community relationships and focus on two-way engagement. 

Quality Instruction – To support innovative, creative and quality instruction to meet students’ needs. 

Student Achievement – To monitor and support student progress through informed oversight. 

Efficiency – To secure, by visitation or otherwise, as much information as possible about the conduct of the public schools in the school division to make sure they are run with the utmost efficiency. 

VSBA Board of Distinction Board of Distinction – To earn recognition as a VSBA Board of Distinction.
