Virtual & In-Person Learning Update:

During their January 11, 2021 meeting, the King George County School Board approved a motion to continue virtual learning for all students with the exception of the following student groups: students who registered for in-person learning in Kindergarten, first and second grades; students currently receiving special education services in-person; students who receive ESOL services, and invited high-risk middle and high school students.   In-person learning for the aforementioned students will begin on January 21, 2021.  

Please check individual school websites for more specific information regarding next week's activities for all learners.  

Please remember that Friday, January 15, and Monday, January 18 are student holidays.   

School Board  Meeting 1/25/2021

The King George County School Board meeting scheduled for January 25, 2021, will be held at King George High School (or TBD). If you would like to make a comment during public/employee comment time, your intent must be arranged with the meeting organizer [Mr. Vance] before 6 PM.  You are encouraged to log into the webinar early and notify the meeting organizer using the chat function that you would like to make a public comment.

You may also use the raise-your-hand function to indicate your intent to speak, but your hand must be raised before 6 PM;  a hand raised after 6 PM will unfortunately not be given the opportunity to speak during public comment. 

Conversely, you may email the meeting organizer [Mr. Vance -] prior to 5:30 PM and request public comment.

Chromebook/MiFi Hotspot Requests

Chromebooks are being distributed at King George High School between the hours of 7:30 AM and 2:45 PM on school days. MIFI hotspots will be distributed at the School Board Office between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM on school days.
