Classes will begin again on February 14, 2022, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-8:00 pm

Through a Regional agreement among the five public school divisions of Planning District 16 (City of Fredericksburg, Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford) and with support from the Virginia Department of Education through a Regional Adult Education Program grant, the Spotsylvania County Public Schools administers Adult Education program services for the Region. Smoot Library is the Adult Education site for King George County. GED and ESOL classes are available during the day and also during the evening.

In order to achieve GED:
 Pass 4 tests:

         *Reasoning Through Language Arts (150 minutes)

         *Mathematical Reasoning (115 minutes)

         *Social Studies (70 minutes)

         *Science (90 minutes)


The test is available in English and Spanish.

GED® TESTING

How do I register for the test?
Please visit www.ged.com to register.
Test candidates must have an email address, government-issued photo ID, and one of the following forms of payment: debit card; credit card; voucher.

Where do I take the test?
The new GED® 2014 Test is administered in the Official Pearson Vue GED® Testing Center at the Fredericksburg Area Campus of Germanna Community College, located in The Dickinson Building at 10000 Germanna Point Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.

When can I take the test?
Choose the date and time you prefer (within testing center open hours) when you schedule your test online at www.ged.com.

How much does it cost?
The cost per subject is $30, for a total test cost of $120.

How do I get a copy of my transcript (scores)?
If you took the GED® 2014 Test after January 1, 2014, log in to your account at www.ged.com then look for the Request a Transcript link at the bottom of the page.
If you took the GED® Test before January 1, 2014, please click here, then select the state where you took the test and follow the on-screen instructions.
